Primarily, there are 4 types of cremation services:

  • Cremation with traditional service
  • Cremation with memorial service
  • Direct Cremation (cremation without a ceremony)
  • Cremation with body donation

Cremation with a traditional service
Cremation with traditional service is on average the highest cost of cremation. It incorporates the benefits of both a traditional funeral service with the cremation following the funeral services.

Cremation with memorial service
Cremation with a memorial service is a way to honor the memory of a loved one in much the same style as you would during a funeral service. The cremated remains do not need to be present during the memorial.

Direct Cremation (cremation without a ceremony)
This is the least expensive and most affordable cremation option and is provided by most funeral directors. With direct cremation, a formal service is not held. The body is cremated shortly after passing, without embalming, viewing or visitation. If you're not looking to plan an extravagant funeral, direct cremation may be the right choice for you.

Cremation with body donation
Fischer Funeral Care will assist you with a locating a body donation program for your loved one.
